Bill Silano

Photographer (March 26, 1934 - April 14, 2014).

He was a widely published fashion photographer. Most of his career, he worked as a freelance photographer. During the 1960's he worked in Paris and London for Elle among others. When he returned to NYC, he worked for Town & Country and Harper's Bazaar. He only provided photos for a handful of albums throughout the years.

He was born William Silano in Flushing, Queens (NY) to Robert Silano and Lucille Maiero Silano. He attended the School of Modern Photography in Manhattan. In his later years he moved out to the Hamptons of Long Island, NY to be closer to his brother. He died in Bridgehampton, NY.
