Swedish, Malmö-based prog band during the 1970s. The group was formed in 1970 by songwriters Mikael Wiehe and Björn Afzelius and Peter Clemmedson. Hoola Bandoola Band was in its time one of the most influential in Sweden. The name is taken from a cartoon short film with Kalle Anka, where termites emit a battle cry similar to "Hoola bandoola". |
