Steve Marriott

English rock singer, songwriter and guitarist, born 30 January 1947 in Bow, London. Best ed for his musical work in the groups Humble Pie (1969-1975).

Marriott died in a accidental house fire in his home on 20 April 1991. This was caused by his falling asleep while intoxicated and leaving a cigarette burning, after arriving home jet-lagged from an overseas trip. Just prior to his death, Marriott and Peter Frampton's album "Shine On".
