Jazz hard bop tenor saxophonist, known for his work as a sideman with artists such as Kenny Burrell, Freddie Hubbard, Jackie McLean, and Jimmy Smith, as well as several Blue Note albums he recorded as a leader, although only one of them ("True Blue") was released in his life time. He died from liver failure following years of drug addiction.
