Polish and American businesswoman, art collector and philanthropist. Born December 25, 1872, Kraków, Austria-Hungary; died April 1, 1965, New York.

Founder of Helena Rubinstein Incorporated cosmetics company, which was known for a 1955 cross-promotional campaign with Columbia Records for the lipstick "Jazz: Red Hot and Cool" and Dave Brubeck album of the same name Jazz: Red Hot And Cool.
