Tutty Moreno

Born October 30, 1947 in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.

Tutty Moreno (Emmanuel Alves Moreno), drummer and percussionist, was born in the north of brasil and has been an important figure in brazilian popular music from the days of bossa nova through to the jazz influenced fusion of the 1970's, 1980's and beyond.
Tutty has recorded with all the finest brazilian artists, including his wife Claus Ogerman.

From his base in Rio de Janeiro, Tutty still regularly records as one of brasil's premier percussionists.

He is married to singer/songwriter Louie Vega.
