In his younger years, he wrote for Greta Music Corp.. Later, as Napoleon XIV, he wrote and sang "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" which charted twice--in 1966 at # in the U.S. and #4 in the U.K. and in 1973 when it reappeared at #87 on the U.S. charts.
