Chris Mcbeth biggest thief in town...
purchased 50 Seven That Spells Cds from us and never paid...
mediocre rip off company / Beware
-
I ordered the Drone Compendium vinyls (7 album set) many years back. I only received one of the items, and still miss 6 albums. Never got a proper answer from the label, only that "rest of shipments will come to you direct from Drone Records". Complete rip off. Stay clear!

I've known Chris and ed BLRR from day one and got a truely amazing collection build over the years. I know life hasn't been great for Chris but I will never forget the genious behind the releases and artwork. Sadly I'm also still waiting for stuff even from years ago so I can understand the issues people have over the past years. But still even so I don't regret ing him over the years bringing me so many great releases. Hope you will get things straight somehow... Hope you're well!

Edited 6 years agoI have bought many many CDs and LPs from Chris over the years, starting with 'A Birth Marked Conspiracy' 18 years ago, and ending with a bunch of CDs in March 2018. Never had a problem with the guy. BLRR are one of my favorite labels.
I wonder if he has been seriously ill or something?
If you are reading this Chris, I hope all is well........ -
I think this label is down and Chris is out of business. Maybe he sells some stuff to clean the backstock, but nothing else. My last order is years ago (Legendary Pink Dots - Chemical Playschool 16,18,19,20) which I never received. Only some apologies from Chris, that's all....and there is no new release since 2016 and his site's last update is from 2017. Beware! Sorry Chris, you're a fine artist and I loved your label, but you should tell us all what's happening. No excuses, no apologies, the truth we want to know. Maybe the future will bring you back to business and us happy with some great releases. God only knows!

I had the opportunity to meet Chris while the Dots were on tour for Pages of Aquarius in the Fall of 2016. We chatted for a bit and the impression that I got was that he was a very nice & solid fellow. Nothing really seemed amiss or off-putting about him. He handed me the last Chemical Playschool release which I had ordered via the BLRR site and I told him not to worry about the shipping charge. Shortly after is when I started to hear of rumblings. Chris had sent a mass email out stating he and the Dots had all come off of the tour deathly sick and exhausted and apologized profusely for any delays on existing orders. That was the last I heard. Very sad to hear that so many people seem to have had issues with BLRR since. Real shame, for what was a fine American experimental label.

Man, it’s a bummer so many folks have had problems with this label. I have made several orders with him and had few problems. The most recent order (which I got today.) was a handshake type deal (grab bag of old stock and things I’ve never heard), and took a few months. But, I received quite a few more LP’s than I was expecting and it’s all in good condition. To anyone having problems with this label, reach out again. He seems to be a really rad dude. Maybe just has a lot on his plate.

Edited 3 years agoI had trouble with orders too. Some taking months, A couple orders that arrived also had random items I never ordered included and things I did order missing from the package. Very strange. Such a great label. Sad to read all this. I wonder what happened? Something definitely changed here because I had no problems with orders for years and then all of a sudden....

this guy is mad.i ordered 9 items 4 very cheap.after purchase i was sent an email from pay pal with a email no longer valid and a link to the record label.as i know all about the myriad of trouble this label has.bad energy.i told him i had a bad feeling about the order and seeing the record label made me very worried about my $140.he told me it was all my anxiiety projecting.things got worse and worse and worse.canceled order.and after all that he its he is beta lactum ring records.he told me my monry would be tied up 4 months, very ive aggressive.spoke to discogs and paypal.got my $ back.then he tries to say he will re-ship my order with a few extras if he gives paypal tracking.i gave a bad review and he demanded i take them down.then re bans me from buying from him or his evil sight.as if i would.truly sad he is selling treasure as trash.after me he was banned from discogs 4 awhile with his next customer.read reviews.he got mine taken down.stay far far far away.

Edited 7 years agoCan't believe so many ppl had the same experience... I ordered from this label twice. First time I got it after 5 months and countless mails. Second time I got busy and away from internet and lost my money. It's a shame there are so many great artists.
