Big old tune that needs little introduction, its those uplifting synths that use to get everyone going, brining a real energy to the track ! Not surprisingly "Don't You Want Me" went on to have huge commercial success. -

CLASSICK! Red Jerry's Holiday Mix is surely my favourite, followed by the original. Both in a rather dry sound and stomping but with the perfect 90s house feeling (I love to love...). Hooj + Fierce Mix are bad remixes of this 'hit', boring and flat repetitions of the 'famous elements' (organ melody + vocal sample). -

Somehow the arpeggio heard in the intro after 8 seconds especially reminds me of the intro of "Cyndi Lauper - All Through the Night" (1983). Look it up and slow down the Youtube vid to 0.75 playback speed, it's quite similar. I don't think they sampled it as what I've found is that the Cyndi Lauper song's arpeggio came from a Roland Juno 60 but maybe the intro part in the song did inspire the Felix producer in a way, who knows ;-)
Don't You Want Me was almost completely made on a Roland JX-1 as far as what I found out, which came available in 1990. There is an amazing vid on Youtube by a guy who completely shows all the synth sounds from the track and reproduces it. Amazing sounds and very rich and it defo. made it that kind of mesmerizing sound you would recognize for years and years to come. -
My god, in 2020 this mix is still a stormer...
Gaz has shown us AGAIN that he's one of the masters of HT.

Felix Sampled Jomanda Track's Don't You Want My Love From 1989 In 1992 And Released it On Hooj Choons As That Was The Only Label He Wanted It On At The Time As He Is Friends With Red Jerry Hence The Remix, Then Some How The Track Got Credited To Them But The Vocals Got Changed On The Commercial Deconstruction Release Version Later On In 1992 / 1993 To a Different Vocalist And i Think It Was Sam Brown,
Felix Wore The Lion Outfit Live On Stage At The DMC Awards In 1992 As He/They Did Not Want Anybody To Know Who He/They Were At The Time, Was It Him Or Was It Rolo Who Wore it Wile Playing The Blue Roland SH 101 With Added Handle
Felix Recently Got Asked In A Interview In 2019 How Many Times The Track Had Been Remixed Since 1992 By Different Dj's And He Said "He Did Not Know" But Was Going To Sit Down One Day And Count Up All The Different Version Their Are And The Ones He Likes Best And Post Them On His Website
