This pressing is actually a thicker pressing which I prefer to the first pressing which is flimsy in comparison

A great early punk/horror punk album from '78. This reissue pressed in Czech Republic (sticker). No poly sleeve but the glossy paper sleeve is not bad at all. I have no errors and just one very minor skip on my new copy. Can't compare to the source material, but overall this is a very dull master. Sounds like the amps were aimed into the corners and a room mic had a beer koozie hanging over it. It's fine for the genre / era, but don't pay a for a quality reissue since nothing will be gained by that.

For anyone wondering, yes there is a pressing missing released before 2018. It is exactly the same pressing as the first repress in 1997. The same master was used and has all the same markings as the 1997 repress. The only 2 differences being the inner sleeve is glossy in the newer pressing. Also, 1997 pressings centre label is flat and not indented like the later pressing. It has the trutone stamping and 1997 etched numbers. Since it's using the same master, it sounds exactly like the first pressing and first repress.

Outstanding sound quality! Haha actually I'm not sure that word could ever be used for a Misfits album. At least one with Danzig. But I wouldn't have it any other way. This boot is pretty clear and flat with nary a pop or a hiss. The sound quality is as good as any early Misfits release. Honestly it sounds great and is highly recommended. Buy it!

Bought new in 2009 with exact matrix. These hung around for quite some time

Kind off strange, the pictures of this look blue. My copy is true purple, bought in the wild when it came out just happened to be the purple pressing.

mine has a white inner sleeve with black vinyl, red label. Maybe a different release of the same bootleg? Record was pretty loud straight out of the shrink wrap - kind of upset because I overpaid for the record. Lots of pops and static throughout the record. Also, my record was pretty significantly dished but that was likely the fault of the seller. That being said, the audio quality was good, but it's the misfits so you know what type of mastering to expect.

I noticed in the liner notes it says Glenn brought along Anne berevly whose son just died the night before , this was recorded in 78 Sid died in 79? Was curious if anyone one else noticed this?

Really glad to have this album, sounds really nice and so much better than the sh*t on Legacy. Nice solid pressing. Not going to change your life, but probably the best these songs have ever sounded.
