This Repress Monarch pressing sounds awesome. Fortunate to have a clean copy. If you can find a nice copy You won’t be disappointed.

A must have, it’s a cool cover, and surprisingly not that bad of a listen. You’ll recognize a song or two

Found this copy (mono) just recently in pristine condition at a local antique store. Now that makes me feel really old as I was born just a couple years before it came out and i do seeing this ubiquitous LP cover enticing my adolescent sensibilities from the record collections of most friends’ cool and hip fathers of the Sixties, the type who also had swinging parties and basement bars with worldly Playboy collections barely hidden behind the counter. I was vaguely familiar with the instrumental music on the actual disc but definitely imagined being the kind of man someday who might play a trumpet well enough to find a woman like this in my life as a result of becoming so cool. And so while most of my friends were getting into guitar lessons and growing record collections of the rock music of the times I instead begged for a trumpet and soon found myself in the school band program which quickly bored me badly enough to drop out before going to any “band camp” and sadly before finding my whipped-cream covered dream girl. So when I realized on my recent antique store visit that I still didn’t have any Tijuana Brass in my old vinyl collection I seized on the opportunity to revisit the past and see if the contents, and more importantly that once racy cover could still evoke the best memories of my youth growing up in the Swinging Sixties….and let me just say I’m looking for my old trumpet!

Man, the Japanese CD reissue from 2018 is really where you need to be. This is some serious stuff man. You could just lean back smoke on your pipe and think about the old days. I don't buy old records so I have to buy new and this CD version of it that is Japanese is one of the most high quality things I've ever known. Thank God. I also have a Japanese stereo so I guess I'm biased. I have to tell you

I see that it says 7 1/2 ips, but in reality how many ips does it sound like? Can anybody ?

Everybody has it. Every garage sale, flea market, record store and thrift shop sells it. Six million copies, SIX MILLION out there in the wild.

A fine pressing of a true classic. This mono copy is flat and quiet.
