Alan Howarth – Prince Of Darkness (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

My copy came warped and there's constant clicking and popping throughout. Disappointing as it's my first Mondo record and I guess I should have listened to other reviews first before buying.

I've found Mondo/Death Waltz Records to be very hit or miss. With that in mind, this EU pressing sounds nice and quiet and clean. Way more dynamics than my CD. The packaging is amazing too!

Beautiful soundtrack and in a beautiful color of Green/Black Marble. Probably one of the nicest color variations I own.

Phenomenal soundtrack. Subtle, eerie and moody. Truly one of Carpenter and Howarth’s best that doesn’t seem to get as much praise. Sound quality on this repress is excellent. Vinyl plays quiet, no surface noise. Top notch sound quality, full and rich. Additional note: I purchased my copy new/sealed but it did not have an OBI strip as displayed on Discogs. Any fans of John Carpenter soundtracks should absolutely have this record.

Dead quiet pressing, and one of the most underrated scores by Carpenter. A must-have

It's a great-looking package but as others have commented previously, a disappointing pressing quality - crackles and pops on what to these eyes is spotless vinyl.

Just got mine brand new, and it's not solid green but transparent .Possibly there's new version?

Mine has some crackles etc may give it a good clean see does that help. Mine is the pale blue blue copy but has not litho, though there is a signature on the poster, is that authentic and who's sig is it?

Having got this second hand, i did expect some surface noise and other small misdemeanors with the disc.
Sometimes I buy secondhand, esp when I know that I will be playing it . Saves on price :)
But this vinyl really is in great condition. Lovely looking and a great pressing. I think green with black swirls looks better, but no issues with the solid green.
The music itself is, dark and moody. Carpenter at his best.
