sometimes one hears vague similarities between releases that occurred the same year and it'd be nice to know what months the two works were released + maybe get insight into who (might've) influenced who ... in this case, there is much melodic similarity between a song on this + a song on man machine, of course the 1st guess would be that that influenced this but what's fun about playing music detective is not jumping to conclusions too hastily

Really good sounding, atmospheric, record, all instruments played by Wolfgang Riechmann himself. Unfortunately, he could not experience the publication because he was tragically murdered.

Wow. The sounds coming out of this LP are incredible. So far ahead of its time... I really hope this artist gets properly discovered and celebrated the way he deserves because it's wild to me that more people don't credit this record as being one of the best of 1978. This german pressing from the mid 80s sounds great to my ear, and I've been playing it all week

One of the good things about music is that the perception of it is very subjective. I also don't see anything cheesy in this album. In my perception this is a great piece of music, from beginning to end. Some tracks are very atmospheric, even wonderfully melancholic, some really invite me to dance. Haven't had such a good discovery for a long time.

Great album from start to finish, very atmospheric and moody. There is definitely nothing cheesy about this music. A "wunderbar" album altogether.

This album is a mixed bag, good in some parts and not so good in others. Tracks 1 & 5 are good examples of everything that is wrong with synth music, new agey cheesy synth-pop. Tracks 2 & 3 are the strongest tracks here. Abendlicht is a nice atmospheric track with constant drum beats, Weltweit is classic Berlin school reminiscent of Klaus Schulze's 70's era. Himmelblau is neither good or bad, it never fully develops into anything special, not something I would revisit. Traumzeit is pretty short dark ambient track.

                  2. Abendlicht (4.5/5)

                  5. Himmelblau (1/5)
                  6. Traumzeit (4/5)
