Nightmares On Wax – Carboot Soul

In my opinion this album has not aged so gracefully. There are a handful of classic tracks (Argha Noah is my favorite), but much of it is fairly dated 90s instrumental hip-hop beats, and occasionally annoying ones at that. But the jacket is decent quality (though pixelated) and the pressing is quite good.

My cover is also very pixilated. I saw a copy in a shop yesterday, where the cover looked normal, I almost bougt it just for that reason. How many of you have a nonpixilated cover from 2013 release? Is that one rare?

This is an awesome release. Really well put together. I have however managed to acquire NO. 0001 unopened. I have no idea if the 7" is in there or not.

Love this record so had to get it but do wish the two tracks from the 7 inch were folded into the release, or that the 2LPs were a color in order to separate it from the other reissue I have - then again no one forced me to buy it so I am happy I did - one of my all time faves

This one slaps, no doubt. Pretty much everyone who knows about NoW knows about Carboot Soul. This particular pressing is pretty stellar. Crisp and clear sonics on this one and worth every penny as if the actual amount of items in the pressing weren’t enough (the card, the artwork, the bonus 7”, the actual album 2 x LPs, envelope case, numbered hype sticker), what you actually came for is here and that is a super solid pressing of a classic record.

A lot of guys will tell you that Smokers Delight is NoW masterpiece. It's a classic but Carboot Soul is the one for me. The songwriting and production is smooth, jazzy and full of great hooks.
Love this album and this is a high quality pressing.
If you're considering getting this then you probably should.

That's not a sticker! It's a sticker shaped piece of card. It's pricey, but I like the silver foil printing and the bonus 7" is great

Absolutely fantastic album. Legendary really. It sounds excellent on vinyl, very dynamic. This is a well done pressing, very clean. I'm not going to call the limited edition a cash grab, but I know the normal version has the same sound and is just as good. I'm still happy for the RSD experience here and the excitement of getting it. Absolutely worth having this (or the regular version) in your collection.

Same exact pressing as the general release you can pick up for £20 so really the added extra is the poster comic and the 7inch.so its a bit of a cash grab put in a nice foldout box. I was expecting more to be honest. Sound is fine and well done same as the general release. If you already have it you dont need this.

A3 ethnic majority sounds pretty bad to me. All the instruments are so distant and is not blending at all with the drums that are very much in your face. I feel like the soundstage is much better on a digital stream…

Anyone feeling the same or am I just making things up?
