Björk has always been ahead of her time and her artistic compositions can challenge her most faithful fans. I’m glad to be one of those fans that doesn’t mind the journey she decides to take us on.

However, Björk’s second solo album “Post” is one of the most aurally exciting musical journeys that I keep coming back to year after year! Her debut certainly hinted at the greatness to come but thanks to her presence on the fashion and music video scene along with this hit laden follow up, this cute yet dangerously feisty Icelandic chanteuse became a household name! The video direction especially from her videos “Oh So Quiet”, “Army Of Me” and “I Miss You” are some of the best ever made! And these songs are all just art pressed into vinyl! Absolutely, out of this world sonics! Oh and “Possibly, Maybe” is supposed to have that scratchy record sound so it’s all ok!

I myself bought this record when it came out in 1995 thinking that I had bought a defective record but soon after when I got the CD I realized that I was being “punked” by Björk! She got me for a while but it’s funny to read comments from nearly 30 years later of people still being fooled even on all the reissues! I’d hate to be a record store owner explaining that non-defect to a disappointed customer. Thanks Björk! Lol! Regarding this pressing, my copy is excellent! As I am the original owner this has always been taken care of and played sparingly (thanks in due part to digital media that became popular less than 5 years later) so my copy sounds great! Side 1 is a bit off centred but fortunately it isn’t too noticeable. Side 2 sounds fantastic too with or without headphones (hehe!). This is an essential Björk album for any fan and especially anyone that just wants her best without the challenges.

Really low quality. Sounds super soft at times and louder at others. Also at high points it sounds fuzzy and choppy. Try a different press for sure.

Absolutely one of the worst pressing I have ever received new. Disc is completely scuffed while not scratched, same as my vespertine reissue. Avoid pressings by this label

the sound quality on this is insane. enjoy is THAT girl on this - though the whole album sounds divine. wish the inserts and labels used better paper tho

I would disagree, this sounds pretty good. There totally are good dynamics present here and it sounds clean.

Girl my copy is BADD!!! While it looks great, the songs skip so much especially hyperballad. Now every time I listen to it, I'm reminded of the terrible skipping.

so i just got this gem and besides the fantastic music by bjork i must say this gimmicky purse has its charm not like i would ever carry it in public, but in the age of the discman this definetly made more sense back in the day

Why Björk's Post Album Matters in the History of Music by Mikhail Tank (MikhailTank.com)

Björk's second solo label album, (third in total) is titled, POST. If you watch the hyper/sonic music video for 'It's All So Quiet', you will see a dancing mail-box, if you look at the album cover, you will see Sir Chalayan's Royal Mail Envelope Jacket that Björk whimsically wears. The album was mostly recorded at the same Bahamas recording studio as the elegant Sade Adu's 'Love Is Stronger Than Pride' - Com Point (see photos here: https://www.studioexpresso.com/Spotlight%20Archive/Spotlight%20compoint.htm).

POST is a whimsical tale, Part II of what Björk called her early "greatest hits". It is deeply alive and in the moment, even though she went back to London in order to fine-tune the record in its final stretch.
Björk loves to live and create near the ocean, it provides her with home, depth, and confidence. She heard the original version of "It's Oh So Quiet" on the DIVA collection at a truck stop (hear the original here: https://discogs.futbolgratis.org/master/672643-Various-DivaCollection).

My favorite tongue in cheek line of the record is, "Lottery or Car Crash or You a Cult" from 'Possibly, Maybe' ~ it makes me smile and/or laugh. The track I wish was a single and music video, which I actually plan on creating a Darksoul Theatre (my music-theatre, circa 1993) licensed cover version of, in the future -- is the Tricky co-produced, ENJOY. I Miss You is super-fun, The Modern Things is a lovely Freud's Id track, Cover Me (I love the REAL Bat-Cave version available on the Army of Me maxi-single), Army of Me is excellent and I would love NEW remixes, it deserves an updated remix maxi-release, You've Been Flirting Again -- I love the Icelandic variant, it lyrically crawls.

This is one of those albums that will live-on forever, because it inspires Vivaciousness and Life, and even though Björk called it her "Promiscuous Record" --- perhaps its ability to not overthink or over-produce has created an everlasting Living Musical Gem.

I would love a new re-release of the album, featuring DISC 1 Full Album in HD Audio. DISC 2 Variant Master with other versions / demos as noted above, including B-sides. DISC 3 Audio Creative Commentary about each track and the creative concept behind the entire project. Packaged with a (re-printed) hand-written and signed letter from Björk to the music appreciators. Would also love to perhaps - collaborate in the future.

If you are a crazy collector, Japan versions are on the top list for sure. Really like the OBI. But please note all the limited reissued 2023 versions of Bjork in Japan (No matter CD or Vinyl) the CDs/Vinyls themselves are pressed in EU. Japanese add OBIs to them and also Japanese booklets
