          First introduction to Bush on vocals and it's incredible. 'Black Lodge' is a departure for the band in their typical sound, but they own it and it is a definite top track from this band's entire extensive discography. A terrific album, even if it's the worst of the 5 John Bush led releases.

              I have a copy with matrix "2 61430-2 src**02 m4s1" but there are no club markings on the cover or sleeve anywhere. Possible variant?

                This reprint is really weird, the back cover looks unfinished, kinda looks like a bootleg. It sounds fine to my ears, but the tracklisting is really odd. There was that whole extra CD of songs on the Japanese version, why not just make side 4 that? Also, the closing song being on side 4 is really weird, if it was on side 3 thatd make sense, when its like this I have to change sides for 1 song. Ive seen a few releases with that overly specific issue (Strapping Young Lad's "City" has a few prints like that) but I dont understand it at all. This does sound fine, and its nice having this for retail price with the full tracklisting, as the original prints are missing Black Lodge.

                EDIT: Compared to the original CD this sounds a little lower in quality, I think this is just a CD-->Vinyl transfer. Oh well, still cool to have on vinyl as this is one of my favorite Anthrax albums. I ought to track down that black 2LP though, I assume its better.

                    Didn’t realize there was a newer version of the Sound of White Noise, was waiting for a anniversary deluxe edition like the latest Anthrax catalog releases. This happens to be my favorite John Bush vocals on a Anthrax LP! Every song is a banger, my personal favorites, 1000 points of hate, Black Lodge, and this version has 2 more songs previously unreleased (I’m guessing) in the track list. My main reason for purchasing it…

                      Does this yellow vinyl reissue sound good? I never picked this up back when it came out. I found it for a nice price and wasn’t sure if it’s worth getting? I have the latest white vinyl reissue and have to say I wasn’t impressed with the quality. The extra tracks were cool.

                        The packaging has already been mentioned by others, and yeah it is pretty shoddy when compared to the others. But if you're after sound quality, then this sounds just fine. I have very few problems with it. Although the inclusions of "Noisegate" and "Bordello of Blood" is strange. "Noisegate" still sounds unfinished and not properly mixed, same as it was back then. I guess they couldn't find the original masters. "Bordello of Blood" is a good song, but, that's from the Stomp 442 era and it isn't produced by Dave Jerden. As mentioned by someone else, other b-sides could've been chosen instead. "London", "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun", "Love Her All I Can", "Auf Wiedersehen", "Cowboy Song".......hell, the underrated "Poison My Eyes"? All of those were also produced by Jerden too and would've fit better.
