I hooked the turntable up to nice system and it sounds pretty good. A new low? I’m a collector and think it’s pretty cool. To each his own!

I don't see Canada release listed for this Beatles song?

I have a version of this with the 'A' side a gold/limey colour with the other the usual plain black vinyl. Can anyone provide info about this? Thanks in anticipation.

1965 reissue. "PRESSED FOR OR BY A ED " was printed at the perimeter.

I have a version that matches this release exactly except that it doesn't have the "sold in the uk" centre text. (matrix/runouts identical, staggered alignment of publishing credits identical, Made in Gt Britain, The Parlophone Co Ltd) and is in the green sleeve with white offset circles which pictures on the other side 7 album covers which were released post-1964.

This cover with the red "pins" more left on cover was also released with black label.

Toshiba released the first Japanese record featuring the Beatles by name as a group: "I Want To Hold Your Hand/This Boy (OR-1041)".

When this record was released in 1964, Toshiba's official name was "Toshiba Musical Industries Ltd." and they used the Odeon label for this and subsequent Beatles releases.

The singles were initially released on both red and black vinyl and issued with "bifold" picture lyric sheet and company inner sleeve.

"Please please me" has a lower catalog number and was scheduled to be the first Odeon Beatles single.
However, "I want to hold your hand" was rush released to the market first.
