The Beatles – Hey Jude (The Beatles Again)

Good pressing, sounds energetic and clear with good tone. It's a fantastic alternative to hear the album in good quality without breaking the bank.

A surprisely nice bootleg. It sounds really great ! I love how they mispelled "Dot' Let Me Down" and "Old Brawn Shoe" tho.

Most tracks sound very poor. Not worth the money, even if it is a rare "dedicated" mono version.
On Paperback writer I had to check if my stylus was full of dust, but no. It's just THAT BAD sounding. Like they used an 8track as a source. It also has the outro slightly cut off, same on "Hey Jude".
Also, "The Ballad Of John And Yoko" is running noticeably slower then it should.

Picked this up used on a whim from a record shop I frequented in college while I was in town. I won't lie: this was my first Beatles album vinyl purchase. Always avoided buying Beatles vinyl, because I knew it was a whole can of worms. This was a good starting point. Great dynamics. Revolution is now my favorite/most played stereo mix of the song (mono is best for revolution imo). Very underrated pressing. Grab it if it's cheap and good condition; grabbed mine for $10. Ripped it to a CD, and it sounds fantastic on road trips. Lots of bass as well, which surprised me for a compilation.

This is the best pressing of this album I’ve yet to hear. All of the instruments are dynamic and sound alive.
The bass on the song “Rain” is tight and realistic sounding.
On “Hey Jude” you can hear the tambourine and cymbals ringing in their own space.
If you can find a nice copy of this pressing at a reasonable price, grab it.

The sonics on this pressing are amazing. The soundstage is wide open and the detail is incredible.
Fantastic pressing if you can find one in good shape.

capitol label, purple label. but disc is double labeled side 1, no side 2. any info out there?

It still sound so goooood after allmost 55 years since released. There are no bad songs on this album.

Andrew from Parlogram [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jEvGRsvZOxA&pp=ygUMI3JhaW4yMDIybWl4] reckons that the version of “Rain” on this pressing is the best stereo version of the track available on vinyl. Well, I’ve not listened to as many different versions as he has, nor do I have especially great ‘ears’, but “Rain” sounds fantastic here. It knocks the weedy mono version on ‘Rarities’ into a cocked hat. The rest of the LP sounds wonderful too.

I have this one and it sounds mono. In stereo mode most of the bass, drums and vocal is in the left. In mono mode the sound image is centered, I haven't play it with Dolby B, but I don't think it will matter.
