RJD2 – Deadringer

Most - if not all - of the cracks and pops are intended and in the digital version as well.
Good pressing. Very raw sound. Heavy on the bass.
If you like the digital version, get the vinyl!

Noisy pressing with quite some pops and clicks on all sides. Some distortions too.

Good record, however, the pressing itself doesnt sound clean to my ears. Sometimes distorted e.g. last song on side D or cracks and pops e.g. A1

i usually don't go out of my way but this pressing is AWESOME.

My copy sounds great. There's a lot of crackling throughout this album but it is intentional, and also present on the digital versions of these songs, just FYI.

I agree with others re: the vinyl. It sounds more bassy than the digital. The vocals sound less pronounced on Ghostwriter. The problem isn't the clicks and pops that are supposed to be part of the song. It's just a weird pressing and sounds cheaply made with too much "boom."

Without all the speech, it would be terrific for me

How do you differentiate the 2009 vs the 2015 releases?

The pressing is not poorly mastered. It is intentional as another pointed out. The CD & record sound exactly the same.

Smooth grooves. Drums sound fantastic. A gem of the collection.
