Patrick Cowley – School Daze

Dark Entries is doing a historically important service by reissuing Patrick Cowley's music. This comp of his porn/prog/dance tracks is wonderful. The man deserves to be ed for being a pioneer EDM/IDM player, producer, remixer and label owner. From when it was a crime (and sadly, often a death sentence) to be a gay man and into disco. I like the songs on this album. But when I opened the vinyl, the entire album fell out of my hand! The gatefold is totally gay and I'm straight! I knew that Patrick Cowley is gay, that's no secret and anyway it's all about the music and not the sexual orientation

Now if they’d only reissue Elevator to Eden the world would be a better place

Found this one used for 1 euro sealed.. the pictures inside the gatefold were interesting to say the least.. but the music is fantastic!!

Is it me, or does this sleeve scream for ring wear?

Why is "pagan rhythms" missing from the cd?!
Also is this out of print now on cd? The vinyl seems still readily available but not the CD strangely..

These Sounds are insane. What a genious in music. One of the most interesting Documents of an Artist pressed on superheavy quality.

From beyond the grave is the darkest and melodic double LP from the technological wizard "Patrick Cowley'. Unreleased (until now) the music presented here is truly out of this world. Originally used for underground films in the early 1980's this is the 1st time these tunes have been heard in any realistic audio format. Painstakingly archived from original master tapes this is the only way you will hear the imagination and depth of a genius that has since ed away.

This has to be one of the best releases of 2013! Fantastic music, some of it quite atmospheric and experimental, puts another light on musical genius of late Patrick Cowley. Dark Entries did superb job with covers, inlets and mastering. Must-have!
