Nice sounding press that does smoke my CD so I am pleased overall. Not sure 1000 pressed is enough for their fan base though. I fear this one will get pricey once all 1000 land in fans collections. Snap this up now while it’s priced between $89 and $120. I see this one escalating to >$200 by the end of the year -

This was my one must-have RSD 2025 purchase, and I'm so happy with it. Harvey Danger has been a favorite of mine since their first album, I feel like they were criminally underrated when they were new, and probably ahead of their time by a solid 5 years... if they had first hit during the indie rock revival of the 00s instead of during the late 90s nu-metal hellscape that was the popular music scene...
I love this band, and this 25th anniversary release has been an absolute joy. Listening to the record, I had no complaints (and none of the issues that a couple other folks said they had) and felt like the material has never sounded better to my ears.
I adored the included essay by Sean Nelson, and I'm just starting to scratch the surface of the digital bonus material. For the $40 +tax I paid for it, I am getting a whole lotta joy out of this release. It makes me long for a similar reissue package of "Where have all the merrymakers gone" and "Little by Little"... If anyone from the Harvey Danger camp reads this, please make my dreams come true with similar reissues for the other albums! -

Be patient people, no need to panic buy. Patience with this one. -

Not sure what's going on with one of the previous poster's copy/set-up.
This is the best this album has sounded to me. I've had two play-throughs and my copy is dead silent, punchy bass, treble is bright, but no worse than the CD but far more detailed on my set-up. I'm very pleased with this release and very happy with how it sounds. Could it have been better mastered? Perhaps, but that totally depends on the source material. Regardless, I had a blast listening to this very loud and have no complaints.
As for the liner notes, yes it's missing some of the CD liner artwork, but some/most vinyl releases skip the liners it seems as of the last 10/20 years sadly. However, the complete lyrics and notes are in the gatefold. -

Make sure to scan that QR code on the insert! So many HD goodies available digitally once you do... -

I will get this on vinyl but won’t be paying over retail for it. This is a RSD first. It’s selling fast and people willing to pay up for it so I’m betting it gets a black vinyl reissue. No worries here. -

Purchased, played, disappointed. For context, I *ADORE* this album. The last four songs is one of my favourite runs of album-tracks ever.
PACKAGE - cover is fine (mine was crushed in the corners, but I'll live). However, records housed in scratchy paper sleeves. For the amount of $ they charged, they can't afford angel-sleeves for this release?
The LP lacks ALL of the inner/booklet artwork. No images, no lyrics. It does include a single 11.5" sheet with a (very well written) essay from Sean re: their lives post-"Flagpole Sitta" and the making of "K.J.V.".
LPs - Unassuming colour. Both perfectly flat/centered. However... putting the needle down on side one revealed a loud, LOUD rumble even at a low volume. I A/B'd some different records to ascertain just how loud it is... it's pretty loud.
Then there's the sound. It sounds hollow. Not like AM-radio hollow, but just... anemic. I turned the bass up a bit to try and compensate, played with ALL the levels. Again, I A/B'd it to a few other records laying around, and this is not a spectacular sound at all. To say that the CD sounds better is an understatement.
To be fair, side B does sound slightly better, but come on this cost $68 ******* dollars (CDN). That's madness for a release that sounds pretty poor, lacks the full artwork and can't even splurge on lined-inners.
Just another RSD disappointment, and woe be to the people who pay the scalper-prices for it. -

Spectacular release. It sounds wonderful, The color discs are pretty, high quality, and the write-up by the vocalist on the insert is a great read! -

This was an amazing surprise for me, woke up today not knowing that it was RSD or anything and then I see all the scalps for this on eBay and here. Went out only to find them sold out already!!! Called some stores and managed to find a single one available and got it for $45.
$150 is not a fair price right now, bloody scalps.
Only thing I can recommend is calling all the nearby stores as to not waste time.
