Jack The Ripper was life-changing...I can still hearing it for the very first time on late-night rap radio in early '88...this, and Beats To The Rhyme, were just such powerful tracks, nothing like them before or since.

Jack the ripper I may be stupid ( I know) but does he really kick it off with the word "millipede " I hope so.

I have a rare promo copy of this 7".
White picture sleeve with L.L. on the front.
Catalogue number is LLCJ2
With the black Def Jam label and "promotion copy not for resale" in the middle of the label.
Does anybody else have one?
Classic LL on both sides. -
Edited 6 years agoIt is worth mentioning that the B-side version of "Jack The Ripper" is a mix that was rarely heard on the radio. There are some points in the beat that stop to enhance the vocal or scratching lead in to the chorus. It is a much better version than the All World version imo..
