I wish they just kept the bonus tracks for Life in a Day - Empires and Dance for separate releases, tbh. -
If it had included the Sparkling In The Rain album as well, it would have been Complete with a capital C. I truly believe it should have been included here as that truly transcended the band even further and to me is their absolute peak, not to disregard NGD at all, but it just was such a thrust onwards that it feels missing here. But the inclusions of the extra material here is pure gold. It was cheap too on release.

Why they couldn’t put a booklet in with the extra track information is a minor complaint -
Forbes & McGee’s sublime rhythm section is what makes this period of SM my absolute favourite.

If this was the only music I could ever listen to I would be very satisfied with this set! The growth and change it documents is enormous. It's my favorite developmental arc in music. -
Their best period, resulting in some of their most outstanding and influential output. Essential!
