I don't know about streaming, or if you just listen through laptop speakers or something, but honestly, this version is objectively inferior to the original CD. My record player/speakers/etc. are pretty good, so it's not that. I try to be honest about what I'm hearing, and sometimes CDs do sound better.
Try A/Bing "Last" and see how that goes. Again, this LP against the CD. The CD is sharp and clear; the LP has the guitar sounding like there's a blanket over the speaker cabinet. The packaging is really nice, and the LP is not terrible, but I cannot agree with all the praise it gets here.
Yes, it's basically noiseless, and yes, it's cool that it came with a separate 7". But, if you are looking for the best sounding version of this recording, this is not it. -

This remaster just *kills*, definitive for sure. Btw if you get one with a card that expired in 2019 with a url that doesn't even work anymore, you can still redeem the code at redeem.backtoblackvinyl.com/ -- I just tried this today (09/30/23) and was able to mp3/WAV/FLAC no problem.

Such an excellent pressing. Extremely lively and dynamic, the booklet and packaging are a treasure, and the bonus 7 inch is handled magnificently.

Edited 2 years agoAgree with most of the others here. Sounds great, interesting to listen to the various layers move in and out. Only thing missing is the patchouli smell the original CD case had. I miss that smell.

the bottom text on the back cover of my copy is sliiiiiightly different (yes i bought from a legit retailer), i think some of the definitive editions are getting represses so this might be the reason as to why

Trent Reznor never disappoints. This was a “meh” streaming EP but on Vinyl it sounds absolutely phenomenal. I’ve never heard these songs sound like this, plus the bonus material included takes it over the top (the 7” with Physical and Suck, plus the booklet). Worth every penny and takes this EP to a new level

Sounds kinda bad, crackly. A shame as I was expecting gold after all these glowing comments, and the fact that it's pressed at Pallas who are normally pretty good.

One of the best EP’s ever made! This was a very definitive moment in music history! This LP comes with so many bonuses and it sounds incredible!
