"Two Thousand and Seventeen" contains a beautiful santoor sample taken from the religious prayer "Mangal Moorti Maruti Nandan" from Hari Om Sharan - Jai Jai Shri Hanuman -
Superb pressing of a superb album - seriously impressive. Kieran cares about the way his records are pressed on vinyl and it shows. -

New Energy is the ninth studio album by British electronic musician Kieran Hebden, released under his alias Four Tet on 29 September 2017 by Text Records. The album follows a more uptempo, listener-friendly style than previous Four Tet records while containing elements of those albums and a variety of musical styles as well as virtual instrument replications of culturally-tinged instruments. The album garnered critical acclaim, landing on several year-end lists by publications such as PopMatters, Q, Uncut, The Guardian, and Pitchfork, and reached number 48 on the UK Albums Chart. -

Edited 7 years agoLike the record but scuff marks causing loud pop's on side b. Sent back, gonna try another copy. Otherwise sound is very good! :) -
Has anyone else noticed that some of the track times on the sleeve are a bit out? For instance, on my needle drop 'Planet' comes in at just under 08:30. Even if my table is running a little slow it shouldn't be enough to add a minute! Different mixes/edits on the LP?
