This is incredible. So so good. Taken classics & improved on them in my opinion. Straight into my top 5 albums
-
Dude. This is great stuff. You’ll hear a bunch of stuff you didn’t know was there and have a whole new funk experience.
-
Excellent reworks, so varied and a very decent pressing. Recommended!
My copy has the labels for sides E & F on the wrong sides though, anyone else?! -
so glad I picked this up. Tasteful edits showcasing some amazing music. As others have mentioned the packaging is excellent too. It's clear a lot of love went into this one

Edited 3 years agoI cannot believe that Juan Atkins given that he's such a big fan, wasn't asked to contribute to this damn fine collection of Detroit mixes. Go figure.
-
As has been said by previous reviewers this is pretty much a monumental LP that shows just how deep, low down and dirty funky these remixers can get when influenced by the original p-funk masters. And I love how they've used the original Westbound Records label artwork - a real nice touch to a bomb of an album
-
you go and get yourself two of these cause in one years time you gonna be wishing you had ;)
great ORIGINAL MUSIC, THE BEST source material you can get, top remixers, superb mastering, fantastic presentation:
triple gatefold, not just credits but anecdotes, art, padded freaking innersleeves... -
Great perfect EU pressing. Sounds deep funky, crisp and just awesome. Great music. Even for people who have never heard of Funkadelic can get funky here. If you are into Funkadelic you will not be disappointed. Its done in deep respect for the funky godfathers from space.
