Bill Drummond: "The Pet Shop Boys actually sent us a 48-track mix, and all we had was our 12-track multitrack. We told them for various artistic reasons we had to start again. Jimmy had one listen to a DAT of their mix and we just completely re-recorded the lot. Neil Tennant came down and put down his vocals again, and from those sessions we chose whatever bits and pieces seemed right. It ended up being a complete re-model and remake. It came out as KLF versus the Pet Shop Boys, but in reality it's all a horrible experience. We aren't really re-mixers."

minimalist ambient remixes of this popular PSB song from the KLF artists. way ahead of its time. hypnotic and etherial and definitely a unique collectors item for PSB fans and electronic music collectors.

this remix 12" is extremely difficult to find in the wild in the US.
it was never released over here, and not many copies were
imported of it, unlike most of their other twelves which were
all top sellers at the time. Regardless it contains one of my
favorite B sides of any of their twelves. The "UFO Mix" of
"It Must Be Obvious" is just absolute subtle strangeness of
the highest order. Weird, spacey and dubbed out, it is by
far one one of the most unusual sounding remixes of a
PSB you will ever likely hear. I highly recommend seeking
this mix out if you have not heard it before.
