Probably my 2nd favorite MJ record. The songs are still fresh and fun to listen to now in 30+ years later. I will say that this picture disc pressing sounds very good. Better than most. Highly recommended!

Disque acheté aujourd’hui, vraiment magnifique, mais un gros bruit de fond sur les 2 disques, vraiment dommage

This variant sounds alright. Not terrible, but definitely some noise, as should be expected for a picture disc. I assume that the new pressings such as the walmart red and black variant will sound better than this one.

Lots of surface noise, but even if you take that away and assume the original is quieter and cleaner, not sure the overall sound experience would change much. MJ used a lot of digital music after leaving Quincy Jones as producer. You hear 'fake' music. There's plenty of music, highs and lows and so on, and yes it's fun to listen to and genius, but don't expect a lot of musicality from any of his records beyond Bad. Dangerous is also full of generated music as opposed to the beauty of the instruments on his earlier solo work.

Edited 4 years agoPic is ok. but! No worse sound quality, high surface noise and low sound gain. disappointment !!

My copy sounds really good for a picture disk! Pictures are good quality despite sides B/C/D being scaled perspectives from the image on side A (side A is highest resolution for this reason--still a really cool picture disc).

This plays with heavy surface noise. A disappointment since I ed on the black disk reissue for this instead because of its novelty.
-
Loud noise and hissing in all pauses and in all quiet places. Bad release. The manufacturer must apologize to buyers for the poor performance. The photo on side A is of excellent quality, but on sides B, C, D much worse.
I’ve never seen such poor quality on other new releases. I bought in a reputable company at the federal level. Then he listened on YouTube and realized that it was such a bad release.
