The album is fantastic....talking about the music! the pressing is also very good - flat and silent.
The mix indeed is difficult to describe....as Supersonicdave said: "the drums are wonderful but the vocal is way too loud"....he's right but it doesn't affect every track.
"Melt" sounds very dark and haunting... "Painted Bird" is perfect to my ears. my only comparison is the 2009 Remaster Digipack CD and it sounds more homogeneous as a whole than this LP Reissue/Remaster.

Brilliant pressing, sounds so much more dynamic than my first press. The only issue I have with it, is that the artwork quality is not as clear and vivid (as Hyaena not being embossed like the first press). -
Great album, drums are wonderful but the vocal is way too loud in the mix and sounds terrible if you try to push the volume up. My copy is plagued with background noise even after a good clean........

This is the best I've heard this album sound. Very clear and balanced. Painted Bird manages to sound so clean.
