It's a shame my Rega Planar 1 and Rega Carbon cartridge can't handle the bass on Disco Advisor and other tracks. But nevertheless this record destroys me.

I think "Love Remedy" contains a sample of the strings in "Roy Ayers Ubiquity - We Live In Brooklyn Baby", just pitched up a lot :)

The loop in Doctor Loop is sampled from Blue Magic’s Freak-N-Stein (which also happens to be the origin of one of Mark E’s best tracks Shreikin Freakin

I did not love this at first, but boy was I wrong & Frank made me it it. Perhaps there are tracks he’s made that shine more than some here, but those legendary tunes still rinse any floor. If you leave this sitting around you simply don’t know what to do with it, so better leave it for those who do. A master class in sample based house few if any can match.

This LP is dope! I love the dirty funky disco house sound this LP is working with! This album is a future classic.

I got a store edition from Hard Wax packed in a nice Tuff City Records sleeve, but the sticker doesn't say "store edition" or whatsoever, it's just the usual Sound Stream logo.

Edited 6 years agoThis is the Pandora's box of disco house bombs. Open it next Saturday and watch the dancefloor get sick.
"Get Down" for example is a perfect edit of Silver Connection's "Get Up And Boogie".
Essential. -
Edited 6 years agoPlease tell that RA guy to experience this album (yes, it is a full length) on a decent hi fi. It also doesn't really make sense to compare previous 12"s as long as they were all a step forward from each other. And regarding "taking risks"... oh come on, this is stuff for the body and mind. Ask the "algorave generation" to boost your expectations mate....
Don't hang about Sound Stream, you know it's immortal stuff. Chapeau.
