This is extraordinary. Not sure what the original sounded like on vinyl, I’ve listened on CD most times. But this is mastered absolutely perfectly. Hats off to you lot.

Thrilled with this release. Both the physical presentation and the sound are stellar

I bought it for the art and design rather than the sound quality itself, but I was not disappointed by either. The pressing is really good and I've had no problems with surface noise or popping, the art itself is incredibly detailed and perfectly matched to the album, and the design on the discs is potentially the best in my whole collection.

Man, this thing is awesome. Sounds so much better than the digital release. Remastering for vinyl improved the sound exponentially. Perfectly quiet also, didn't notice a single pop (though the music is pretty dense, so maybe I didn't notice). The quiet parts were perfectly quiet, however. If you are a fan of FlyLo and vinyl, this is the pressing to get.

Bought my copy brand new from a reseller. It came in today and seems like the manufacturer forgot to glue the bottom of the jacket, so not only does it open gatefold style, it also opens a whole other way and I end up with four squares instead of two. Does that make sense? I don't know if I want to finish the job the manufacturer's did but as ham-fisted as a I am, I might just leave it as is. Seems like there were issues in the packaging of this pressing based on other posts here.

This is one hell of a pressing. And for $20-something dollars? It's a great deal. I don't even know what the artwork is supposed to be, like what are the letters? Whatever it is, it's great to stare at. If you're interested in listening to the album, get this one. It's stupid cheap for the quality of this pressing.

Let's get this out of the way. Flying Lotus does not make audiophile recordings. His music exists in the digital realm, is intentionally clipped, distorted, and compressed to the point of no return. Dynamic range, yeah, that's hilarious. It's part of his aesthetic.

With that being said, hardcore fans of Cosmogramma will enjoy this pressing.

The new artwork within the gatefold is nice, as is the art print insert. The marbled colored vinyl, while it works with the overall aesthetic, is a huge miss for me. The center labels on my copy were properly aligned, but don't include side indicators, so have fun guessing which side you're listening to.

As for the sound quality...it's excellent. This is an album that I know intimately, and you can expect to discover greater clarity, nuance, and separation amidst the chaos. In some cases, it's startling (Do the Astral Plane and MmmHmm made my neck snap). The veil has been lifted. Prepare for another journey of sonic discovery.

                My pressing is very quiet.

Okay but how does it sound? Is the remaster good/worth it?

This version of Cosmogramma came without labels on the A and B side. Like, the first LP is completely naked. Am I the only one with this issue?

Some people might not notice it, but the center labels on this release are misplaced, affecting Side B and C since they swapped label art. I pointed this out to the people of VMP, and they confirmed this oddity. Not sure if it means they'll make a new pressing with the correct center labels, it's worth pointing out.

As an aside, I love this album. It covers the right kind of genres that appeal to me in almost every track.
