Notes

On labels:
A3, label reads: Fearless incl, "You'll Never Walk Alone"
E.M.I. (Australia) Limited
Made in Australia

Inside gatefold:
Recorded at Air Studios EMI Studios Abbey Road and at Morgan Studios London 1971
E.M.I. (Australia) Limited. (Incorporated in N.S.W.)
Made and printed in Australia
Within the Harvest logo inside the gatefold reads: "Trademark of The Gramophone Company Ltd. A Company of the EMI Group"

Runouts are etched. There is an 'unidentified initial' on both runouts on Variant 3, presumably the Mastering Engineer's mark, but I don't recognize it. Possibly "GK"?

The easiest way to tell which of the first 3 of the 4 different original Australian issues of Meddle you have (which as far as I can tell were all released in 1971), is by checking which publishing credit is on the label. Issue 1 (this issue) has “Penjane” publishing credits; issue 3 has “Worldwide Copyright Ltd.” publishing credits.
As for issue 4, the publishing credit is also “Penjane”, but the label design is visibly different from the first 3 issues, most notably featuring a smaller Harvest logo.
Hope this helps future catalogers who might also be baffled by the 4 seemingly identical Australian issues of this beautiful record!

Terrific pressing. Very lively dynamics and great detail to rival any of the recent pressings.

Label on this issue presents as a later 70s or early 80s pressing, not first pressings from 1971
