Circa un mese fa' Amazon ha fatto una buona offerta su questo doppio dei Genesis. Dopo questo disco, che coincide con la fuoriuscita dal gruppo di Peter Gabriel, si interrompe la mia collezione dei Genesis. Avevo un doppio cd preso in edicola, rimasterizzato da cani.
Allora come ho detto recentemente ho acquistato su Amazon a buon prezzo, una copia di "The Lamb Lies..." su vinile, come mia consuetudine, ma da 180gr. Devo ammettere che tale ristampa del 2017 non era niente male. Al primo ascolto si percepiva un leggero rumore di fondo, ma dopo una bella lavata con acqua demineralizzata e distillata ho pulito i due Lp dai residui causati dail tornio
incisore: - i rumori sono spariti e la mia Exact ha fatto il suo dovere tracciando ottimamente la "Rock-Opera", restituendomi una
lettura abbastanza emozionante. La beffa è arrivata questo fine settimana durante una mia peregrinazione, per negozi dell'usato:
-all'improvviso ando i dischi vedo "Rael" in copertina, controllo subito il disco, non è inglese, ma è la stampa italliana del 1974 con
le buste interne disegnate e la traduzione in Italiano dei testi e della storia eseguita da una persona, di cui ora non ricordo il nome, che ha contribuito a far amare i "primi Genesis" in Italia. L'ho pagata poco perchè in Italia vendettero molte copie. Inoltre ho trovato "Some Girls" e "Between the Buttons" dei Rolling, i prmi dei Camel, The Who by Numbers (ED. Francia) e il triplo di Woodstock(Ita 70 con cop. laminata) e altri 2 o 3. Tornando a "The Lamb..." se non tocchi il volume ti rendi conto dell'escursione dinamica che va dal PPP al FFF, pari, pari un vinile di Musica Classica dei tempi d'oro. La stessa cosa, ma a distanza di tempo, mi capitò con " Tommy" degli WHO che presi da 180gr e successivamente trovai l'originale con copertina impostata diversamente ed i brani con successione diversa.
