Yorke’s love for electronic experimentation hits its peak so far on ANIMA, his unmistakable falsetto carried across by waves of detuned synths. His previous solo albums always sounded a little too simple to me, but on this album this simplicity is a strength, leaving a lot of room for contemplation.

To my ears, this is easily the most accomplished and confident sounding Thom Yorke solo album, yet. Only about 3 listens in and I'm already extremely impressed.

So there is actually a Japanese release of this?! Wonder if its just got a sticker for distribution in Japan or actually physically different in some way? Sadly, the ed entry to discogs doesn't provide any pics or info to help clarify/distinguish

Only listened to the orange vinyl once through so far, but can safely say the vinyl quality is excellent. There are no clicks and pops at all, and the sound is very good. It is a VERY high volume pressing - as loud as the loudest 12 inch singles I've ever heard but there is no distortion. The music is superb and from an early impression as good as anything Thom has done before. Brilliant. The packaging is super quality too - love the art design.
