AMAZING sound quality, really good, one of my best sounding records!
It's not totally clear, kind of milky clear actually, and fits the album aesthetic so well
I recommend not buying this record sealed, the clear and black variants share the same barcode with no hype sticker, it's really easy for sellers to think they have this variant when it's actually a black disc -
As others have commented, the record is clean sounding, superb, and the clear looks fantastic against the artwork. And YES the only way to know if it's clear or black is to open it, the numbers are the same, there are no indications anywhere! Knowing what I know now if I was buying a sealed "clear" version I would ask that it's opened before I buy because 99% (I believe) it will be the black version. Clear was limited and is rare.

I’m at my wits end trying to find this vinyl. I’ve ordered 3 different copies from different discogs s, Amazon, and other websites each listing it as the clear version and I’ve opened each to find it’s black. Is there ANY way of distinguishing the black from the clear? I see it sealed in local shops all the time but I don’t have the heart to keep opening sealed copies hoping for a clear version.

Picked up second hand for retail and it’s gotta be one of the clearest sounding records I’ve got. I was hesitant to get this on record if only for some of the sounds maybe not translating on vinyl but I was wrong for sure. Sounds brilliant and the clear matches the album so perfectly

AMAZING SOUND! I can't believe how great this sounds. I see this pop up every now and then at local shops, don't give in to the scalpers.

Edited 2 years agoFound a used copy of this at a record store near me. It does have a little bit of wear on the jacket, but the discs were staticky when coming out of the inner sleeves which leads me to believe it's never been played. My discs do sound really good, loud and punchy, hallmarks of mastering any record at 45 rpm. Only "surface noise" existant on this release is a very quiet pop every now and then. There is a little bit of distortion on the last song of each side, but it's not super disturbing, and the instrumental quality remains intact. Overall, I'm so happy to have found this clear variant at a reasonable price, and the quality is definitely respectable.

So disturbing that you're not able to tell the color unless opening it! Watch out her label's euro store they frequently restock this variant.

Does anyone know if there is any identifying factor between the clear and the black pressing? Both have the exact same barcode and the hype sticker never says if it’s black or clear. A few days ago I bought a copy for the second time, because the shops own label said it’s clear, but it was black.

Sounds fantastic! Some of the tracks I usually don’t vibe with (BIOYL, White Mercedes) but I found myself really digging them on this listen. If she didn’t have such great pressings of her other albums I’d wager this is one of her best.

this pressing is one of the best ones that i have in my collection! it sounds incredible (thanks charli for making it 45rpm <3) and it sounds super clear on my setup! bought this the week the album came out and nearly 3 years later, it sounds just as great as when i first got it
