Amazing to read all of these negative comments man my copy sounds fantastic no warp Rega P2 Rotel amp
-
I was initially hesitant to purchase this after reading the comments. However, I decided to go ahead and order the vinyl, and I'm glad I did. It sounds good on my Clearaudio Master Reference turntable.
-
Not the best pressing, but good enough I guess. A great collection of songs here, but it lacks depth and dynamics. Also lots of clicks and pops spread across all three Lp’s fresh out of the package. Should have been a 4xLP box. It would have been expensive, but it would have benefited the sound and quality a great deal.
-
Have had this since it was released, really wish it was a box set instead of a gatefold. My copy came damaged on the top from the records bouncing during shipping, but the vinyl sounds great no issues at all.
Cool inner sleeves -
Pressing allright. Not really good, not really bad. Flat and quiet, but could be more dynamic,
Listened to it with Ortofon OM 40 and Denon DL103. Both fine
Great songs from Radiohead, PJ, Cave and Calvi -
Edited 4 years agoIt’s interesting to me how these songs sounded so great in the context of the tv show but, presented here altogether end up being just ‘meh’. A testament to the folks who put the show together, for sure and I can’t help but think that this should be better than it is. Underwhelming.

This box is just eye-candy and it doesn't live up to the heart and spirit of the fucking peaky blinders at all. First big mistake or omission is liner notes penned by Phil Harrison of Black Sabbath, Birmingham pride and inventors of Heavy Metal who contribute with the song The Wizard, number 4, side 5, album 3. The rest is wikipedia-trivia level and indie snobbery. The packaging is just okay but instead of a work, this is just a product, costing around 35€ which is very okay until you listen to the sound which is terrible when compared with the originals of Cave, Harvey and Hawley. This is just a monetisation of a great series which did give a damn about its sonic landscape but that falls like a deck of cards on vinyl format with this supermarket edition in shiny, thin paper where even the sepia looks fake. played on audio-technica, heard on monitor audio, used a weight stabiliser.
-
Sounds good to me. I would say most of the songs sounds really good. No pops and clicks. Tested with Pro-Ject Classic, Ortofon M2 Silver.
-
Terrible pressing. The soundtrack selections are phenomenal and the snippets are a nice touch but the records I received were full of pops and clicks. This is on a brand new ortofon blue. Pretty disappointed.
-
Had to return my first copy. All LP’s were terribly warped. Just rec’d replacement. Haven’t cracked it yet.
