All about Love & Happiness for me...

Living in the States on loan from the UK around 94-95.... a friend of mine would send me mixes via snail mail.

A copy of Bukem's Yaman mix tapes arrived. Love & Hapiness starts one side off = early D&B/intelligent bliss.

A decent hypnotic roller which lifts the key synth from the intro of Solo - Rainbow & uses it to great effect.

All combined with a cracking snappy breakbeat, some deep strings, flute type chords & a few female vocal snippets. Couple of breaks & bridges rolling side by side with the main synth.

Bukem used to hammer, go in on this, L&H plus Wash Over Me in his live sets for ages. Two big tracks as intelligent was about to take off...

While dated now, it has lasted well & could do with a PFM current remix.

      Stone cold classics!

Love and Happiness features a cheeky-but-effective sample of the opening bars of '91 novelty children's TV rave tune Solo - Rainbow (Original Sample-Free EP Mix)

PFM really went in on this track - that Amen drum edit is insane. Masterpiece.

Wash Over Me easily sits in my top 10 DnB tracks of all time. It is one of the most beautifule tracks I have ever heard. I the first time I heard it 20 years ago and even now after all this time hearing it brings back the same emotion.
Thank you PFM for this wonderful piece of music.

I can´t believe that there´s no comment for this gem ;) The track "Wash Over Me" is truly a masterpiece and a personal alltime favorite of mine. In my opinion its the best release of PFM too. Released in 1995 the record is far away from that typical rave/jungle sound which was popular till about 1994. LTJ Bukem used to drop this tune very often in 1994 and 1995! "Wash Over Me" and "Love & Happiness" are two intelligent/atmospherical jungle/dnb stompers with deep and lush synths. If you listen closer to the A Side you also can hear the famous "Amen" breakbeat in a modified way. For me its hard to define whether its Drum & Bass or Jungle but I would say its a good mixture between both styles. In my point of view the following PFM productions are more dnb orientated and not as good as this one.
