lets be honest, this is an accident !
tried my luck, cause of some kinda positive comments here.
my copy is super flat, but significant clicks all over the a side.
a2 where pathways meet, which i came for, is not enjoyable.
also loosing parts of the both tracks before & after, a1 & a3.
at least the b side without higher surface noise.
but 2200 owners, should be harcore fans.

I find that this Scorpio pressing sounds a whole lot better than the new "official" remaster by Strut Records. I A/B'd both and this one was the clear winner: spacious and dynamic, and you can hear every instrument playing. The 2021 remaster feels muddy in comparison. Despite all of that, my copy begins with some nasty clicks that won't go away after a good clean. No heavy crackle after that though. Happy to own this.

My copy came in full off marks and scratches. I made a complaint with BLEEP and asked for a replacement. let's see what they say...

Seems a great heavyweight pressing to me, dynamic pressing... some records just need a clean?

Lot of crackling and background noise on this pressing and mine is warped a little as well.

this album is a strange beast , when i think of jazz i think of virtuoso level musicians but for me the drums seem to be begginner to intermediate level of playing and the timing also seems off a lot of the time .
whether this was intentional or not i don't know.
it doesn't really affect the overall impression of the album but i doubt i will be buying any more of sun ra's albums.
the pressing seems to start off with some noticeable crackle on side 0ne and then seems to become a lot less noticeable.
overall i give the album and this pressing a 3.5/5.

My copy is super warped. It plays through perfectly well, though. Just hate watching it spin and my needle wobble up and down as if it were in a wave pool. But again, the sound came through greatly.
