I have this. Bought in a shop in Islington at the time. I never really noticed that I need was missing until tears later ! This is the first time I've ever read anything about it.

Buzzcocks’ debut album was recorded late ’77/early ’78 and released in April ’78. The initial running order saw the track I Need appear on Side One but, once the test pressing had been played, the group decided that the song would be better placed on Side Two, between Autonomy and Moving Away From The Pulsebeat. Instructions for the new running order apparently resulted in a mix-up at the pressing plant and some early copies of the album – including some review copies – omitted I Need from either side. This was rapidly corrected, but a few had found their way into shops in the meantime. Probably only a handful of these survive. By far the rarest Buzzcocks release.... by a mile!
