Funny that no one has listed the Walmart coloured edition. I’m curious as to hear how it stacks up against the original! 🧐

I just ended up with a VG+ copy of this for $30 and some change because some used book store worker must not have known what they had. It was labeled a “1990 elektra pressing” in the descriptions and the elektra label was shown in the picture so I figured I’d try it out seeing how the very popular app/web store (yeah that one) I was on offered a full refund if I wasn’t stoked with it. All the matrix etches brought me here, and I checked 3 times last night then came home from work today and checked again as I’m kind of in shock over the matter lol The shape it’s in makes me think it only either had 1 or 2 homes in its life cuz damn it’s well cared for. No scratches on disc, sleeve is easy VG+ shape, original sleeve isn’t torn. Plays perfectly and sounds insane! I legitimately lucked out. Be sure to search through the used sections everyone, in store and online, you just might hit the vinyl lottery like I did 🤘🏻

Can anyone explain why this pressing is sold for so much? I fortunately got it free from a family friend but I'm just curious

If you own this copy (hell, even if you don't), you owe it to yourself to own an 80's press of this album on CD as well. It sounds much more abrasive (in a good way) and intense, I was really surprised pleased when hearing and comparing to this record. I think I may actually prefer the CD, lol.

This is the version of the number one best metal album of all time! Hard to find a good version of the album these days... to be honest, you have to crank this album to really feel everything. Very spot on master.

Amazing press -- the biggest difference off the bat is that the vinyl is not as wet as the digital/CD version. It appears that they mask the compression with some reverb to give it more of a room sound. This version is clean, crisp, and unrelentingly aggressive. A must have for the biggest Met fans.

Best Metallica album. I have a vinyl copy that's unopened. It says Elektra/Asylum. Not sure how to distinguish Allied Press from Specialty press version.
