There looked to be two nearly identical pressings. How is this version different from https://discogs.futbolgratis.org/release/1738686-The-Killers-Day-Age

Bought it in late 2008 as it's my favourite Killers album. The artwork is awesome and the vinyl great. It omits the CD bonus track too which is okay as "Goodnight, Travel Well" end the album on a serious mood which I like.

Edited one year agoHot damn this pressing an audiophiles wet dream. Hard to imagine the recent repress would come close to this. Packaging inner sleeves posters etc are top notch in quality. A lot to love with this release. Grab if you can.

Edited one year agoI am ing all the positive comments below.
This is a very good sounding pressing. Dynamics and instruments separation is much better if you campare to CD or Apple Music.
Cover art is fantastic, highlight of my collection.
ssjssj Thanks for your comment ! I have rediscovered the album, its wonderful ! -
I don't think there ever was a EU pressing, only the US pressing. Can anyone add the matrix numbers of the EU press to this release? The back covers of the US and EU listings both have the same image/details.

Edited one year agoThis is the best sounding version of this. Better than the re-issue and the 10th anniversary 2LP version. Original press smokes 'em all – and has the foil jacket / poster which kicks ass.

Edited one year agoWas on the fence about spending a bit of money on this but damn it sounds great, excellent pressing.

Edited one year agoI found this original copy for a steal of a price (under $20) and wow, what an incredible sounding record. To quote another comment, the "clarity and depth" is unreal. I had owned the CD and never loved this album. This original vinyl press brings this thing to life. So much dynamic range. I had been wanting to buy the reissue of this on vinyl but am glad I waited. I hope they did the reissue good. Going by the dynamic range numbers the loudness-war website, it looks like the did. Those numbers will also tell you how compressed the CD is in comparison.
