Edited 2 years agoI have enjoyed this album on vinyl for many years and to hear it remastered was a treat to behold.
Sounding so crisp in this digital format particularly on the high end, adding definition to the space between the notes. The little extra bits and bonus track contribute to the program nicely. Very well done if only minimal packaging.
I don't know why I waited so long to get a copy. Going to keep an eye out for more discs from this series. -
This is the version that should be reissued on vinyl! The dialogue adds to the performances in my opinion.

I have nearly every Jimmy Smith album, and, as a consequence, sometimes I overlook some of them, and this appears to be the case with this album. Don't the last time I listened to it, but this is a great jazz/funk album that just goes and goes. How did I forget about this album for so long?
