Very happy with the purchase. It sounds awesome. I've read that picture disc's don't sound great, etc, etc. My copy sounds killer!

Finally decided to play this and I had low expectations initially. It sounds pretty good for a picture disc! Only thing I can complain about is the whooshing sound in between tracks. But it is a picture disc so…

Why do you spend money for the 100th reissue of a record that is absurd to have on a picture format?! Enjoy a real genuine black vinyl and LISTEN to music, do not feed this speculative market for "collectors". It's a PDK = it's noisy and moreover popvirgule contributor says that the 1st second of one tracked skip.

sound is not super crisp, and there is a low pitched rumble/static surface noise throughout. maybe i need to wash it? or maybe i should have expected that for a picture disc. also worth noting this record is 200 grams and feels very thick and sturdy.

edit: this sounds decent after a few plays, and when playing on speakers i don’t notice the surface noise, for a picture disc it’s good but ofc it’s not amazing overall

            Hey.
Am I the only one to have the first second of "The Funeral Party" being skipped ?

It says it’s from a 2021 remaster by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.

This just like the rest of the picture discs we have been getting from The Cure outside of the very beginning sounds really good...... I don’t know they made all of these so good..... my only tiny complaint would be that I wish they grey matched the cover a tad bit better.... Minor complaint.... This sounds good for a picture disc.

Not a big fan of picture discs but it's The Cure so i gave it a shot...this actually sounds pretty good to me, vinyl is super heavy, has to be heavier than 180gr...
It's such a thick vinyl that looks like they pressed two together!
If you hear surface noise wash your record, it helps a lot....

As expected, being a picture disc, the playback quality isn't the greatest. There's a constant deep backround noise, almost sounds like a treated synth just droning. Although the backround noise is pretty much inaudible when the recorded grooves are playing. The record is a little noisy with a lot of quiet pops, it's still pretty listenable and the recorded music itself really doesn't take much of a hit in the fidelity department. Cool disc to see such a minimal picture on and worth picking up for any Cure-heads or people who don't know what to get for RSD. Wouldn't pay more than $25 for it though.

Can't see a reason to buy a picture disc when early pressings are still available for less many places.
