Edited 3 years agoAt the risk of causing offence to Miles Davis fans, I've always preferred his electric period when Miles himself isn't playing much (or at all) on the track. This album is superb but how much better would it sound without the trumpet. His strongest work is Rated X, from Get Up With It, on which he plays the organ. It's mind-blowing -
Nice earthy mix. Heavy on the low-end which gives the tracks some weight. Thankfully I have a flat lp too! -

Edited 3 years agoMine is so warped that only Side 2 can be played. Other than being a little noisy, Side 2 sounds pretty good. My record store said they were all warped to some some degree. Wish they would have done a better job with the pressing quality.
Update: Sony sent me a replacement album and it’s nice and free of warps. -
Music is great. The slight warp gives it that trippy vibe ya know? What is going on? Hey Sony, why don't you swap out mine.

A little noisy, would assume digitally sourced based on the sound, its not bad sounding though, just nothing special. Neither is the packaging. Music is, of course, great and its wasn't expensive. Worthwhile addition to the collection, just don't expect to be wowed by the sound. -
