I found mine in a collection left it my great grandparents basement. I was stunned cuz it mixed in with a bunch of big band jazz & old school R&B albums. I reckon it was my uncle’s who was more into Rock and other things. It’s cool cuz I have something to him by since he’s ed on. It’s the vinyl itself has virtually no scratches and plays damn near new… I feel so incredibly lucky to have an original pressing of this.

Got this album in VG+ condition for 15 dollars back in 2014, best purchase ever!! This album is hands down one of the best I own and I have some killer albums in my collection. Get yourself a copy ASAP!! 🤘🏼

My cousin gifted me this copy and I can’t thank him enough. As the previous reviewer said so perfectly, the separation in the tracks is startling, but I find I don’t need to raise the volume so high to experience it, and the roundness and growl of Geezer’s bass is so three dimensional, I just find myself cueing in on just that one track. I can do that for each instrument, in glee.

the days when you could walk into a Goodwill and score great records, cheap? That's where I found this pressing, Artisan logo and all. And in such fine condition I rarely play it. But boy howdy does it sound exquisite!
Price paid? Fifty cents. -
Edited one year agoI am lucky enough to have found a mint condition copy of this pressing and it is Absolutely Amazing! Quiet vinyl. Separation is astounding, as is the sound stage. I have their next 3 albums, as well, but those are remasters. This record makes those remasters sound like crap, in comparison! Every time I spin this I feel like I’m hearing Audiophile Sabbath.

Hope this isn’t a dumb question, but what parts of the medleys are Wasp and A Bit of Finger? I get that BTWOS is the track before Bassically, cause Ozzy introduced that song with that title in a concert video from ‘70, and I assume Sleeping Village is at least the acoustic track before Warning, because the lyrics say “Sleeping village.”

I couldn’t believe I scored this for under $50. I’m sure it was because of the condition of the jacket, which is in pretty rough shape, but the record is in excellent condition so I don’t care.
Holy hell does this sound incredible. The mastering in this album is incredible. So dynamic and full. The bass booms and the highs are very articulate. The soundstage is nice and wide and imaging is awesome. I hope whoever mastered this got PAID. For being as old as it is and the jacket being in such horrible condition, I am shocked how little surface noise there is. No pops or clicks. Just some light crackling from age. A good wet cleaning will hopefully take care of most of that. So glad I decided to pick this up.
