Edited 6 years agoAmazing! Powerful drums and bass sounds closer to post-punk, but nearly histerical vocals and sax make their sound brighter than Joy Division and other similar bands. Overall the album less darker and more avantgarde than mostly post-punk albums in the end of 1970's and early 1980s. Their uniqueness can be compared with another great band - 23 Skidoo but Positive Noise have their style which has nothing to do with 23 Skidoo. Just compared as both bands are unique. I don't know why PN still unknown band for mostly people of the world, but they definetly not worse than other great bands in this genre: Joy Division, The Cure, Bauhaus. One of the best albums in that era.
By the way high quality of 80's UK vinyl makes listening to this album very enjoyable.
