Unfortunately, I cannot share other people‘s enthusiasm. Yes, the remastering is outstanding, sometimes even overwhelming. But what good is the world’s best remastering if the pressing quality can't keep up with? The amount of surface noise even after professional cleaning is an absolute nightmare and partly destroys the listening pleasure.

Just parroting other comments about the *stellar* sound quality of this reissue. Pin-drop quiet, and the soundstage is expansive…so much space. Absolute masterpiece.

Edited one year agoWhat an incredible crystal clear sound.
I got used only to the CD untill now. CD sound is rubbish. This records show for what reason vinyl has survived for so long. -
Not sure whats going on with the guys packing and printing these “ collectors items” they must be stoned.
I got no record 1 (A/B) and 2 (C/D) plus as an “added bonus” side I (Record 5) labeled i on both sides.
Ive gotta say using a tri fold cover for a 5 album high value item like this is just plain foolish.
Fumbling around bending covers trying to put it back together is just plain wrong.
Theres got to be a better “book” style design for each record to fit.
Tri fold is cheap and lazy on the manufactures part for a “” product.

Edited one year agoMy copy sounds outstanding. Extremely dynamic and almost zero surface noise after I cleaned it. Can't recommend this enough

Just received this and I don’t know if it was just a one off problem or if the entire new press of these is bad. Mine had an insane amount of surface noise across all 5 records. Compared with my friends copy who has the earlier repress and it’s night and day. Luckily the store took it back. Hesitant to buy again.
And yes the ID s match the othe r Pallas press so assume it’s made at Pallas. -
Can anyone confirm if this 5x LP set is mixed or partially mixed? I don't see any mention of mixing on this release, but it is very confusing. I am really only interested in an unmixed, individual set of tracks. Thanks.
