Dirty out of factory, probably due to paper sleeve had to wash multiple times to get it on point -
I have been waiting YEARS for Stromae's third album to drop, and here we are! Awesome album!!! -
The sound on this disc is amazing! Mastering is very dynamic and open. The only problem is that it has a bad noise floor, so i have ripped the record to 24/96khz and did a very precise software noise reduction (-16 db of NR) to preserve all the music information. It came out a super good digital hifi copy at about -15 rms against the -8 of the digital streaming version. Btw i think they'd better distribute cds with dynamics or on streaming services: it's not that difficult or costly compared to producing vinyls...

Edited 3 years agoStromae is an absolute artist when it comes to this album. As an artist who has thus far produced a couple one-hit wonders such as Papaoutai and Alors on Dance this album has done something unique for me with a new artist: I like every track on the album.
The way the tracks are composed, the unique additions to the beat such as water droplets on Fils de Joie, the choir chanting on l'enfer or a flute during a rap piece of Pas Vraiment. Have you ever heard a flute combined with french rap? Interesting, but it works...
In regards to the quality of this standard black pressing I have no complaints. The music is very lively with a nice soundstage, clear vocals and dynamic instruments.
This man has set himself on the map with this album as an artist who can seriously do something in the studio as supposed to making one or two #1 songs. -
L’album en lui même est incroyable, mais mon pressage n’est clairement pas au point. Petit bruit de fond sur l’entièreté du disque, dommage… -
Edited 3 years agoMy copy is lightly warped and has some very light scuffs. However, it plays beautifully. Excellent mastering and generally sounds very good. Great album!
