I believe I have this version but can anyone confirm if the runout grooves on side A are off centre and the second part of side B matrix no. is half covered by the label? Mine are & this seems like it would be a misprint but can't find any info.

Edited 3 months agoNow that Roseland has been issued in full, Dummy now also needs to be reissued - remastered across 2 LPs with Its A Fire added as 49 mins with the standard 10 tracks on a single LP is just too long for this kind of music to sound its best.

I have been listening to this album through digital sources and always thought it needed a better recording quality.
Until now....
I just had a chance to get this original first pressing.
All of my prejudices just evaporated...
This is a fantastic cut. Be careful. I think you should find a clean copy, especially for this album. -
Just pure class, such a distinct sound. Brilliant. Really nice jazzy influence in places, great vocals, good memories of the 90's!

This album is just meant to listen to on vinyl - on the cd version the electric piano on Roads sounds 'red hot', making the cones flabber. On the 1994 vinyl version it sounds perfect, just like the album in whole. A musical landmark, a timeless classic.

I’m reviewing the 1994 DFI pressing.
This is such an amazing pressing. The 1997 MPO of the Self titled album is awful in comparison. This has such rich depth. We’re fortunate as fans this got such a good pressing. The 90s did produce some great sounding vinyl.
This is well worth the money for a serious fan with a good stereo. -

Edited 4 years agoWere the pressings sold by pop.market that were listed as sealed on this listing actually the first pressings? I refuse to believe that an iconic album such as this, released in a time when vinyl was on the way out would have an early vinyl press be only worth around CA$25 sealed. Given that it's hard to tell the difference between the 2008 reissue and this without opening the packaging probably explains why this happened.
