I got mine brand new. Sound good - Couple pops here and there, but overall pretty good.
* My copy don't have "Made in Canada / Czech Republic" + Matrix codes are slightly different (side1+2+4 have /C, side 3 have B)
so.. this can be another variant...
(not sure that my is EUROPE or USA but almost every LP that sold in my country from EUROPE)

I got mine brand new. There are tons of skips, thus far on Side A of the first LP. I just pulled it off, cleaned it and put it back and it's still jumping in spots in the first 4 songs.

Amazing packaging. The cover looks amazing and the sleeves are dope as hell. The album itself is, or at least should be seen as a metal classic. The band was on point, there’s zero skips here. Pressing is great, only downside is that it is a bit lacking on the low end. Still, the definite way to listen to this album in my opinion. Get it while ya can.

Overall pretty good. Couple pops on side B. Lacking in the low end. Packaging and gatefold are awesome

I found a sealed copy last weekend at a Discs Fair in Barcelona and I have just found the time to sit and play it... holy crap this sounds niiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! I noticed the volume could be a little louder (same happened to their reiussed self-titled album), so I let my amplifier cope with it! Both discs were completely flat and clean. I found a couple of pops in SIde B by the end of 'The Heretic Anthem' (I'll have to use my brush again) but nothing that could ruin the experience.
The album cover looks amazing, the gatefold sleeve was well designed and printed but nothing remarkable. The Translucent Green color didn't produce much impact, so that's it. Overall, a very nice addition to my collection! -

I luckily got a good deal on this before things get too outrageous, didn’t overpay at all.
This seems to be one of those “” albums that even when it’s repressed, it’ll still be stupid expensive. The presentation is flawless though, it’s the only foil/silver gatefold I have in my collection and you can tell this higher quality packaging is one of the factors contributing to its higher price tag.
The record sounds damn good to me, but as others have echoed, I don’t have an OG to compare to.
It’s thunderous and heavy as it should be, and throwing bass and treble up does indeed help.
The colour is cool, but it’s definitely not “coke bottle clear” as I’ve seen other people note, it’s absolutely green. Coke bottle clear is way more transparent.
Overall this is a stunning addition to any collection! -
Edited 2 years agoHaving owned the cd for many years now, this record does not sound much better as one would probably hope. Perhaps this would not be a problem for me if it weren't for the ridiculous pricing. It is still noticeably more dynamic and full than the cd though. This is pretty much the only way to get the iconic album on vinyl, and it sounds as brilliant as ever but in general I consider this pressing a let down. However, the packaging is very nice, the silver foil looks lovely and the thick card gatefold could almost trick you into thinking the pricing was reasonable if you were simultaneously hit very hard on the head.

Read some positive reviews but to me this pressing sounds like it lacks a lot of the low end that this album is known for. It sounds almost too tinny to my ears and I have a subwoofer connected as well. A bit disappointing considering it is one of my favourite albums but there we go. Still nice to own and other than that, the stereo image is fine and the dynamic range seems great. Not a bad pressing overall.

I've left quite a few critical reviews of late. However, I'm glad to say that this one is positive! An easy 5/5 for me. Sounds fantastic, and the packaging is just like the original.
